Photo-Numaginarium in FotoWeekDC 2011

For FotoWeekDC 2011, NumbersAlive! launched our first-ever Photo-Numaginarium. The Numbers Lady led ten young photographers on an afternoon quest for numbers in the Penn Quarter neighborhood. They returned to the studio to share the photos and select the best ones to include in a book to take home. Rebecca Klemm Featured on WAMU’s Metro Connection

Aug. 19, 2011: Next month’s Arts on Foot festival marks the debut of NumbersAlive!: a new, local brand of toys, books and films teaching young people how numbers relate to history, art and culture. It’s the brainchild of self-professed “math geek” Rebecca Klemm. Rebecca Sheir visits Klemm’s studio to learn why Zero is wild about the Hirshhorn Museum… One can’t get enough of the Washington Monument… and Seven adores All’s Well That Ends Well.
